Fireproof

WOW! We just had the second small group meeting of our spring semester. We had 8 couples over to watch "Fireproof". It is a great movie. I highly recommend it.  This Sunday we are starting a new series called, "Fireproof your Marriage" based off of the movie. Then each week our couples small group will be studying the same topic from the service. Seriously, invite all the couples you know to this service.This is going to be a great series. I can't wait!

Software for Pastors and Church Leaders

When  I need to buy something for myself or the church I spend a lot of time doing research. Probable to much time. Here are some software programs that we use at New Life or that I use for ministry:

People Driven Software: For membership, contributions and small groups. We changed to this from Servant Keeper. PDS is user friendly and has the capability to give you a lot of data and reports from the information you put into it. There is a lot you can do with this software.

Media Shout: Out of the list of the Top 25 Most Innovative Churches in the US, 19 of them used MediaShout. Check out their website for more information.

Pastor's Study: I use to use Ministry Notebook but I had problems with it and it would just not do what I needed it to do. I did a search on-line and downloaded several different programs for filing sermons, keeping track of expenses, etc. and the best that I found is The Pastor's Study.
